Principal Laura Haugvoll leads the Manta Rays at Melton Elementary School. She has 34 years of experience in education, including 23 years in Lamar CISD. Mrs. Haugvoll has served students, families, and staff across three Lamar CISD campuses throughout her career. She earned her bachelor's degree from Sam Houston State University and her master's degree in educational leadership from the University of St. Thomas and is passionate about building strong relationships and fostering a positive learning environment where students thrive, staff feel supported, and families and community members are valued partners in education. Mrs. Haugvoll is committed to creating a school culture where every student is empowered to learn, grow, and succeed.
